About the event
I met Jasmin and Mariann last year at the first Eat Plants, Save the Planet fundraiser that supported my campaign for Pittsford Town Council. There were a lot of comments about my unique approach as I openly discussed veganism as part of my platform. Honestly, I don't think you can have meaningful conversations about sustainability and reversing global warming without discussing our food systems and the need for plant-based solutions.
Jasmin and Mariann invited me to be a guest on their podcast, Our Hen House. Of course, I said yes, because I needed publicity. I'm so glad that I did because I can literally feel myself growing as a person every time I tune in. They interview some of the most interesting and inspiring people. I find the show constantly calls into question information that was falsely stored as facts somewhere on my journey. I often want to talk back to the computer, ask follow-up questions, or pause a moment just to think about what has just been said.
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to fundraise on their behalf.
So please join us as we eat vegan chili, sweet cornbread and talk about how to save the planet!
